Mixed Rose Bouquet II in Progress

My roses have now died, my bowl is still floating and my surface (cloth) needs more dark values.  I'm not sure whether I'll put the corner of the table in or paint the edge of the table straight across.  I'm thinking about adding a little of the cloth decoration.  I have realized that I have the roses way to focused and the edges are too severe,  and I haven't honored the focal area.  I squeezed the top rose in while I should have let it go out of the picture and now all of them are too crowded......I think the roses "grew" before they died (laugh).  Many decisions I have to make while I'm painting on some other things, and then to make things worse....I place guilt trips on myself for not posting often enough.....who told me to post often....myself, of course.
I need to have a dialogue with someone else!  Hope my husband is ready when he comes in this evening:)

Cheri, you have made me laugh....you sound like I do sometimes. Your roses are lovely.
You've inspired me to try some more of them. Thanks!

Hey now girl... If you're going to look critically at your own work to see what still needs work, then you must also notice what's already done well! :)

You need to stop listening to those negative voices! We all have them, and they will make you unhappy.

I think your roses are lovely. This is much better than you seem to think. Maybe you could paint over the top rose and re-do it using your photo.

Cheri, You have a lot invested in this painting...take a break and come back to it another day. Your roses are beautiful! Paint on!

Beautiful roses Cheri!! I think we all do the same thing with our paintings. I agree with Karen, leave and come back another day.

I LOVE your roses!! (and I never leave you blog comments- sorry about that)

I think the corner of the table is interesting, but I do know what you mean when you think you have crowded something in. What if you made the bowl a just a little bigger/longer and added a couple of fallen petals? - which you probably have by now :)

All of your roses are just so wonderful & I especially adore the light blue background with that deep brown bowl on this painting.
