Cherries and a Sip of Tea - A Painting

Cherries and a Sip of Tea
12x12 Oil on Canvas
Original Painting
by
Cheri Wollenberg
Red, juicy cherries larger than life are scattered in front of a small, turquoise colored tea cup and saucer in this painting.  The cherries are approximately 3 1/2 inches wide.  Placing splashes of pale oranges and greens that were less intense to complement the subjects seemed to calm the composition somewhat.  This one is also for a show coming up.

White Enamelware Pot with Snow Ball Bouquet - A Painting

White Enamelware Pot with Snow Ball Bouquet
by
Cheri Wollenberg
I have to confess.........I love the old Enamelware items.  They make such nice subjects in still life arrangements.  I can't resist them in the flea markets that I visit frequently.  I have every color imaginable right now.  My husband and I love turning something old and discarded into something useful.  This oil painting is available on my Etsy site.

Rose Study

6x6 Oil on Artist Board
A Daily Painting
by
Cheri Wollenberg

This small oil painting is of a study of pink and red roses.  This particular study is not any set up or particular picture I have, but of a combination of resources.  I love to paint roses.  Sometimes I am satisfied with the results and sometimes I'm not!  I like these pretty well.  I tried to paint them with ease and confidence allowing the paint to trickle and smudge together.  This little painting may be purchased in my Etsy store by clicking here.

Art Center of the Ozarks Presents 5x5

In my post of August 18, 2011 I included an image of one of the 5x5 paintings I had given to the Art Center of the Ozarks for their Ninth Annual 5x5 Art Exhibition.  This show is a fundraiser and gallery event they have every year in Springdale, NW Arkansas.  If you live in NW Arkansas, this is a wonderful time to support them....plus, the art is varied and fantastic.  The Art Center creates offerings for the community year round for children to adult ages.  If you live locally please join us and I promise you will have a great time at this festive event and view some beautiful art work from some of the finest artists in NW Arkansas.  This is their invitation for 2011 and you can see that the artwork is diverse and stunning.  Check out their website and give them a call now.
