The cherries are calling to me again!  I wanted to paint something with reds for the new year so I got all my images out and found some photos of cherries from a little "photo shoot" I had back when we had some fresh cherries at a nearby market.  I thought I might experiment in several ways so here are a few of my results.  I plan to post some more.  Both these paintings may be purchased on my etsy site at chatterboxart by simply clicking Cherries.

Cheri, I love your cherries! Especially the "group". Simple! We have had a few cherries in the market here in CA lately. They are a brighter red than the ones I get during the regular cherry season. I've been painting them too...there's something cheerful about cherry paintings. Happy New Year!

Love the cherries! Wonderful glaze on the little tea pot, too.

Just found your blog. Beautiful work and I look forward to exploring it further when time allows. I love "Piggy Pudding" - among others. It is so whimsical and cute. Your cherries are fantastic. I just painted cherries for the 1st time and they are not as easy as one would think! You did a great job! :-)
