Crazy Eggs - A Little Poppish

Sometimes I get carried away when I think of the different possibilities of painting one subject matter.  I was asked one time why I painted pictures.  In all honesty, I have to say that the process is more important to me than the product.  There are times when I want to do something serious that could be considered higher art, and then there are times that I love to play.....It is great therapy when you aren't sure what you are going to paint next.  It might be that I want to rest or not think and plan so much, but painting everyday keeps me tuned-up!  I would imagine that it is much like a runner.  Surely a runner enjoys running and not just the training!  Or accomplishing a goal!   Anyway -  these next two images are some paintings I did the last couple of days.  They certainly cannot be called fine art, they're a little poppish but they were fun to do, and I relaxed and thought of my grandchildren while I painted them (smiles).
